தேவாரம் மாந்தர்-people வினை-(good and evil) deeds பறையும்-vanish ஐயுறவு-–-doubt பாட்டு-verses வல்லார்–well versed There are groves on the banks of the river which is flooded. Araththurrai is surrounded by the groves and sheet of water. Gaana Sambandhan of Seerkazhi has sung on the grace of the Lord in perfection. The effects of the (evil and good) deeds of those who recite the verses will vanish. Undoubtedly it is so with those who are well versed in those ten verses.

துஞ்சலும் துஞ்சல் இலாத போழ்தினும் thunjalum thunjal ilaadha pozhdhinum நெஞ்சகம் நைந்து நினைமின் நாள்தொறும் Nenjagam naindhu ninaimin naalidhorrum வஞ்சகம் அற்று அடி வாழ்த்த வந்த கூற்று vanjagam atru adi vaazhththa vandha kutru அஞ்ச உதைத்தன அஞ்செழுத்துமே. Anja udhaiththana anjezhuththume.
தூங்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தபொழுதும், தூங்காமல் விழித்திருக்கும் பொழுதும் மனம் கரைந்து நாள்தோறும் நினையுங்கள். வஞ்சகம் இல்லாமல் (மார்க்கண்டேயன்) திருவடியை வாழ்த்த (அவன் உயிரைக் கொண்டு செல்ல) வந்த யமனை அவன் பயப்படுமாறு _ உதைத்தன (பஞ்சாக்கரம் ஆகிய) திருவைந்தெழுத்து.
துஞ்சல்-தூங்குதல்-sleeping (state) துஞ்சல் இலாத போழ்து-தூங்காத நேரம்-waking state நெஞ்சகம்-மனம்-mind நைந்து-கரைந்து-melting நினைமின்—think (worship) நாள்தொறும்-daily வஞ்சகம்-deceit அடி-feet வாழ்ந்த–adored வந்த- came. கூற்று-Yama the God of death அஞ்ச-to fear. உதைத்தன—kicked—spurned அஞ்செழுத்து-திருவைந்தெழுத்து-சிவயநம the mystic live letters—the Panchakshara–Si Va Ya Na Ma is the name of the Lord.
