Conclusioni On the basis of the above mentioned isoglosses an attempt is made here to give a preliminary classification of Tamil isoglosses and dialects. In conclusion it is to be stated that the chief use of having the exciusive and inclusive isoglosses wili help linguists in the preparation of Tamil dialect atlas. By marking the exclusive and inclusive isoglosses by differently shaped symbols, one can have the alternatives and exclusive usages of linguistic features in a dialect map and a number of such dialect maps in turn will constitute a perfect dialect atlas of Tamil dialects.
