However the progress of analysis in these lines is impeded because of non availability of adequate and reliable phonological analysis of dialects involved. In general the Tamil writers represent the varieties of speech habits in the following ways. * (i) with the available graphic system (ii) with the modification of the graphemes (iii) with the special notation or diacritics. - ■ o tol 2.
