The five different kinds of wealth, which the author discusses in this book are Mothor, Imagination, Old Age Health and Character. In the first essay he expatiaies the greatness of the mother who also expresses herself in the mother country and the mother tongue and drives home to the Reader on the necessity of paying his homage to everyone of them. In the second essay the learned author leads the student to imagine and find out for himself the several uses of the eye and the ear and by series of questions and answers arrives at the conclusion that everyone should see little, speak Hess, but hear more. In the next chapter entitled ‘Weakth of Old age’ the value of experience is mentioned and incidently, the virtue of truthfulness emphasised; it would have been better if the teaching intended to be brought forth by the chapter heading. is more boldly brought forth. The next chapter deals with the nesessity of Physical exercises and the last chapter is a story of two boys who after a long search for true Wealth come to the conclusion that only good character and good behaviour form true Wealth. The style of the book is simple and direct.
