I61 Verses from “THIRUTHTHONDAR PURAANA SAARAM." by Umapathi Sivacharya on SUNDARAMURTHY SWAAMIGAL He left Mount Kailas and was born as the son of a Siva Brabmin, Sadaiyanaar. At the time of his marriage the Lord came, showed a document and stopped his marriage. He thenceforth was known as Vanthondan and he came to Thiru Athikai where he was blessed by the Lord. Then he proceeded to Thiru Aarur. There he married Paravaiyaar and lived with her. As Viranmindar entertained wrath on him, he composed by the grace of the Lord, the Thiruththondaththogai. At Kundaiyur he got mounts of paddy. At Thiruppugalur bricks were transformed into gold for his sake. At Thirumuthukundram he was given gold which he threw into the river there and got it intact at Thiru Aarur. Then he went to Thiruvotriyur and married Sangiliyaar. On his return to Thiru Aarur, to pacify the wrath of Paravaiyaar, he made the Lord to become a mediator. At Thiruvaiyaaru he made the floods in the river to give him way. At Uvinasi he brought back to life a boy who had been swallowed by a crocodile. At Thiruvanjaikkalam he mounted an elephant and went to Mount Kailaas along with Chera maan.
