22 the Lord and sang the padigam “Endhai Eesan Em beruman. («Ti sog; Ffsir grubGLIGırn gör). This symbolised the ascension of the Saint to the status of a spiritual teacher. People pro claimed his glory and he, in turn, proclaimed God’s glory. During the traditional religious ceremony of wearing sacred thread he cleared the doubts of those scholars and priests who were astonished at the wisdom possessed by the young eight year old saint. He taught them the essence of the Panchakshara, the five-lettered Siva Mantra, in his padigam, “Thunjalum Thunjalil” (gj@5«Fsylh gil@54F6ščw). The next great event was the meeting of Sambandar and Thirunavukkarasar, an aged Saint. Sambandar called him “Appar” and Arasu said "Adiyen’ (I am a servitor), while exchanging courtesies. They liked each other and joined hands with each other in popularising Saivism by songs and services. During the course of his tour Sambandar came to Thiruppachil–Achiramam (GGLILrrởSRév--Ag#Fyrirloth). The re the dau ghter of the King Kollimazhavan (Qasrājač'uppausar) was suffering from a mysterious disease. Medicines and mantras had no effect on her. The king, who was a great devotee of Lord Siva, took her to the temple and laid her there. Sambandar, saw the pitiable condition of the girl. He prayed and sang the padigam “Thunnivallar Thingall” (guersf custrf glossair) appealing to the Lord to have mercy on the girl. The miracle happened and the girl was cured. It was winter when he arrived at Kongunadu where the people suffered from a peculiar type of fever. He sang the padigam, “Avvinaik Kivvinai” („sygiis?&sráš Geirsståkar). The fever disappeared. The hot summer at Thiruppachil Aachiramam (gobolitégé -o,+&Tiruolo) afflicted the devotees. A canopy of pearls descended miraculously by Siva's Grace, affording a refreshing shade to Sambandar and his party. He sang the padigam “paadan Marai Sudal’ (Lurrl_sör Losofo Gl–6b) and thanked the Lord. The heat in this region also diminished.
