ஜிஜாபாயிக்கு ஆறு பிள்ளைகள் சம்பாஜி சிவாஜி தவிர்த்து மற்றை யோர் இறந்தனர் என்பது வரலாற்றாசிரியர்க்கு இந்நூலால் தான் தெரிய வந்தது. மெக்கன்சி சுவடிகளுள்ளும் இச் செய்தி யுள்ளது (இந்நூல் பக்கம் 29 பார்க்க). * -
சிவாஜி விஷ்ணுவின் அமிசம் என்று இந்நூல் கூறச் சபாசத்தில் "சம்பு மகா தேவரின் அமிசகாக விளங்கியவர் சிவாஜி" (பககம் 3) என்று உள்ளது.
சிவபாரதத்தைப்பற்றித் திரு. சி. கே. சீனிவாசன் அவர்கள் தன் நூலில் (பக்கம் 9 இல் ) பின்வருமாறு கூறியுள்ளார்.
“Among the Sanskrit works, "SHIVA BHARAT” by the poet Paramantha is the most authentic and accurate one and it gives a very good picture of Shaji's life in the Carnatic and describes his conquests in these parts. Although the work is incomplete its historical framework “is found to be remarkably accurate, confirmed as it is, at places, by contemporary records Maratha or English”." Little confusion is noticed in the arrangements of facts and on the whole the work may be said to embody a good account of Shahji and Shivaji”.
இந்நூலைப் பற்றிய ஜாதுநாத் சர்க்கார்' கூற்றுப் பின்வருமாறு:
"Shivaji's Court poet Paramanand (to whom he gave the title of Kavindra or Jupiter among poets) wrote a Sanskrit epic on the Bhonsle Royal house. This epic (dubbed by its modern editor with the title of Shiva Bharat) is merely a laudatary poem written by a Brahman flatterer to extol his patron's family to the seventh heaven.... The very training, mode of life and literary model of these Brahman poets made them unfit to be sober recorder of facts....the Hindu Court sycophant ascribes supernatural feats to his hero!”
(2) போலல வமிசாவளி
இது தஞ்சாவூர் சரசுவதி மகால் நூல் நிலையத்திலுள்ள சமஸ்கிருதச் சுவடிகளுள் ஒன்று. =
பி. எஸ். எஸ். சாஸ்திரி அவர்கள் எழுதிச் சென்னைக் கீழ்த்திசைச் சுவடிகள் நூலகத்தில் வெளியிட்ட சமஸ்கிருத நூல்களின் விளக்க அட்டவணை யில் VII ஆவது தொகுதி பக்கம் 3291 இல் இந்நூலைப் பற்றிச் சில குறிப்புக் கள் உள்ளன.!"

12.. Though the work is known as Bhosalavamsavali, one. need not be under the notion that the work gives a complete genealogical list of the kings of Bhosala family, The work deals in the main Sahaji alone (1689 - 1710).
