செய்தான்; பெரிய யானேயை (ஊர்தியாக)க் கொடுத்தான்; இந்த உடம்பில் உள்ள உயிரைச் சிறப்பு அடையுமாறு செய்தான்; திரு நொடித்தான் மலை (என்று கூறப்படும் திருக்கயிலையில்) இருக்கும் சிறந்தவன்.
Hc caused me to be born long ago. I am aware of His intention. I composed verses, on His golden Feet. What sort of vcrses are they? Alas! He regarded me a dog-like one! He made the celestials to welcome me. He graced me with a huge
clephant. He heightened my soul with the body. He, the Distinguished one, seated in the Nodithaan Hill (Mt. Kailaas).

ஊழி வெள்ளங்களில் மூழ்கிவிடாமல் உயர்வது-பொன் நிறம் உடையது-திரு நொடித்தான்மலை; அம்மலையைத் திருநாவலூர் என்ற ஊரவர் ஆகியசுந்தரர், புகழ்பொருந்தியதும்-இணியகரும்பின் சுவை போன்ற இனிமை உடையதும்-ஏழ் இசை பொருந்தியதும் ஆன இனிய தமிழால் பாடினர். இங்ங்னம் விரும்பிப் புகழ்ந்த பாடல்கள் பத்து. ஆழமான கடலுக்கு அரசனே! அவற்றைத்திரு அஞ்சைக்களத்தில் இருக்கும் சிவபெருமானுக்கு அறிவிப்பாய்.
During every deluge, the golden Nodiththaanmalai rise high (without being submerged). The Lord is seated there. Him Sundarar of Tiru Navalur has sung Tamil verses which are praise worthy, which taste like sugarcane and which consist of seven sold music. Oh the king of deep ocean! Please communicate these to the Lord at Tiru Anjaikkalam. =
