மானங்காத்த மருதுபாண்டியர் 186 To Muthu Vijaya Ragunatha Peria Udaya Tevar, Zamindar of Sivaganga. ! have received your ietter. I am sorry that you are exposed to inconvenience from the litigious conduct of Shenkuli Servaigar, but do not think the judge of the Zillah of Ramnad can or will take cognizance of any suits instituted in the name of the heirs of the Veiia Marudu's or China Marudu's or of any of that family who were deciared rebels and in that part, executed as such. By their rebeilion, their property was forfeited and in succeeding to the rights of your family which that of China and Vella Marudus had wrongfully assumed, you also succeeded of right to the property that had amassed during their usurpation and what they forfeited by their rebellion was assigned to you. The said Zamin will, however, be restored to the heirs of Veijai Marudu, one hundred years hence and this has been communicated to the Honourable Company's Government. This is my opinion, but, i have now no right or title to interfere on any matter of property or administration on Sivaganga........ (Ld.) P.A. Agnew, *Madras, 28th, Dec. 1804. (2) * Colone!
