Kaikijai §§ Tofał ##9 w-يو-باس-- In the fragments extant one verse is available for Arattu-ppal, 43 verses for Porut-pāl and 65 verses for Kāmattu-p-pâl. the Pogo-o-Bratt's is patterned after the Torokkorai in its threesold classification as Aram (Dharma) Porul (Arta) and Inpam (Kāma) which a few other works like the Nalaţiyay have also adopted. But one cannot be certain about the pattern of the originai Mutosłayiram except that it was in three parts, each devoted to one govereign power of the Tamil country. Within this threefold division of Pánfiyan, Cöjäg and Cérag, we are not aware what classification was adopted in the arrangement of the verses in each division. If the arrangement in the Pura-i-tirattis were any guidance, the originai Motoličyiram must have been divided into three major parts with sub-headings under each of the Pttrast, and Åkarn motifs selected. Barring the Pura-i-Kraft's no other source has so far been discovered either to add to the number of verses extant or to present fhe book in fuil. A few variations in reading are availabie beyond those found in Pura-i-tirattu. In view of the excellence of the work as a piece of literature, and the fact that it had survived till the post-Cola period to secure acceptance as taaterial for inclusion in an anthology of representative works, it may be hoped that abours in the direction of seeking out the original in tact will be rewarded ded with success.
