A portion of the verse from Perumporul occurring immediately after the Muttollāyiram excerpt has also got mixed up with the Mutollayiram verse and takes away from its purity.” Therefore this verse has been left out in this edition aisg. Reverting to verse 1474 of the Purga-i-iirattu there is no doubt it reaches the level of excellence which distinguishes the other verses, but as its source is not specially mentioned in the original Manuscript there is the hesitancy to accept it as a Muitoslayirgin verse, Here is the verse: திறலொடு தீதுருநதிப பூழிய னல்லன் மறலொடு மைந்து தருக்கிப்-பிறரொருவர் தென்ன னிளங்கோத் திருமால் வழுதிமுன் மன்னர்யார் மாறேற் பவர். {ன், வே. 3. பூமிய, This verse has to go under the classification Pukal or Fame in Porut-pal. It should be included in the division of Pāptiyan and obviously it sings the praise of the Pântiyan monarchy. Sri N. Sethuraghunathan has added 22 more verses to the Parat-i-tirattu number in his edition. He has himself acknowledged in his masterly preface that the only criterion of inclusion of these additional verses is their resemblance to the genuine ones. These 22 verses were taken from various commentaries as they resembled the Muttollayiram verses. But the authorship of their original sources was not indicated by the editor. It is a very interesting approach though scientifically it is open to the criticism of lack of authenticity. In fairness to Sri N. Sethuraghunathan most of the 22 verses are of high איאי %3אaאא איooa}+&xxטי “ን 2. புறக்கணித்த வெண்' என்பது அடுத்த செய்யுளில் (1398) 11, 12-ஆம் சீர்கள். —from the footnotes of Ριμπα-ί-tiκαίίμ.
