A Derivative word is that which comes from some other word in the same Language or in another language. = DERIVATIVE WORD என்பது அந்த பாஷையில் அல்லது மற்றொரு பாஷையில் ஒரு சொல்லிலிருந்து உண்டாகிற மற்றொரு சொல்,
A Simple word is that which is not mixed, or compounded. = SIMPLE WORD என்பது கூட்டுங் கலப்பு மில்லாதசொல்,
A Compound word is that Which is made up of two or more Words. = COMPOUND WORD என்பது இரண்டு அல்லது பல சொற்கள் சேர்ந்து ஆகிறசொல்,
There are five sorts of derivations among words purely English. = சுத்தமான இங்கிலிஷ் வார்த்தைளுக்கு ஐந்து விதமான உற்பத்தியுண்டு
First. - Adjectives from substantives; as man, manly; weight, weighty. = முதலாவது - பெயர்ச் சொல்லிலிருந்து பன்புச் சொல்லுண்டாகுது அதாவது. மனிதன், மனிதனானபாரம். பாரமான,
Second.- Substantives from adjectives; as nice, niceness; delicate delicateness; muddy, muddiness. = இரண்டாவது - பன்புச் சொல்லிற் பெயர்ச்சொல் லுண்டாகுது, நேத்தியான, நேத்தியாயிருக்குதல் நொற்பமான, நொற்பமாகயிருக்குதல் அழுக்கான, அழுக்காயிருக்குதல்
Third.- Adverbs from adjectives; as mortal, mortally; sinful, sinfully, &c. = மூன்றாவது. - பண்புச் சொல்லில்வினையுரி உண்டாகுது சாவுள்ள, சாவாய், பாவமுள்ள, பாவமாய், பலவும்
