அம். தீய விலங்கனையார் 277 பினு மவளை விரும்பாது அருவருக்கத் தக்க வுருவினையுடைய பிறன் மனை வியை விரும்பு மனிதருஞ் சிலர் என்பார் திய விலங்கிற் சிலர் ' என்ருர்.” --தி. சு. செ. பிறன் மனைக்கே பீடழிந்து நிற்பர் : பீடு - பெருமை. ; மானமுமாம். காமம் ' பாவமும் பழியு நல்கும் பல்வகைப் புகழறங்கள் யாவையு மழிக்கும்.” - அழிந்துநிற்பர்-கெட்டு நிற்பர் என்பது கெட்டலைவர் என்ற உலக வழக்கு மொழியைக் குறித்து கின்றதாம். நறுவிய வாயினவேனும் உமிழ்ந்து கடுத்தின்னும் தீய விலங்கு : ' தீய விலங்கிற் சிலர், ஒட்டகம் போலுஞ் சிலரெனினு மமையும் ; மகாகாவியத்திற் காண்க. மேலும் இமாமாயணத்தில், ' கள்ளரும் பாாங் தாங்கிய வொட்டகம் தெள்ளு தண் கரும் பியாவையுங் தின்கில உள் ள மென்னத் தம் வாயுமுலர்ந்தன கள்ளுண் பார்களிற் கைப்பன தேடியே.” -சி. வை. தா. ' மாந்தளிர் முதலியவற்றைத் தள்ளி வேப்பிலையைத் தின்னும் ஒட்ட கம்.” -ஊ. பு: செ. ' பொற்கலத் தாட்டிப் புறங்தரினு நாய்பிற ரெச்சிற் கிமையாது பார்த்திருக்கும் ' என்ற நாலடியார்ச் செய்யுள் இங்கு கோக் கற்பாலது.
