P R E F A C E. From the 1st of July 1930 I have been contributing a series of articles to the Swadesamitran Weekly Edition, on my stage experiences for the past over 40 years. Some of my friends suggested to me the desirability of issuing sa me in book - form SO that they may be read at a stretch ; hence the present book, which is the first volume : the other volumes I hope will follow in due course.
