8. Upatheeca venpaa : Speaks of the mental purification and of following the paths of cariyai, kiriyai and yookam and finally that of njaanam. 9. A thicayamalai : This is in praise of the author’s preceptor, namaccivaaya muurthikalh. The author in this work wonders. how the unlimited Grace of nataraaja was bestowed upon him, the undeserving one (as the author calls himself), through his spiritual preceptor. 10. Namaccivaayamaalai : This also is in praise of the preceptor. Besides these this author has writen civanjaanapoodaccinhthanai and puuppilhlhai at TavaNai also. ThaTciNaamuurth thì theecikar has brought out another thasakaariyam (No. 11), which gives the gist of the 12 cuuththirams of the civanjaanapootham, a crisp explanation of the thacakaariyams and the greatness of those who have received the civaanupuu thi. His second work is (No 12) Upatheecappaxtotai. It speaks of the greatness of the author. Cuvaaminhaatha theecikar's work is another thacakaariyam (No. 13). In this the author has classified the ten acts into two groups (fiive each) and says that five acts precede the initiation and the other five follow it. He has given at the end the 36 thaththuvams mentioned in the Siddhanta Sastra. He has also written civanjaanapoothaccuurnikkoththu. His other works, viz., KaTampanhaatha puraaNam and thiruccenhthuurkkalampakam, also speak of siddhanta tenets. Peeruur Veelappa theecikar was the author of Panjeakkara ppaxtotai, This work speaks of the greatness and grace of the preceptor of the author. 429
