to this earth to bless His devotees. The sages of heaven. perceiving God in themselves, come down as maidens to worship Him in the manner of human beings.(6). The sentence “Our Lord Who makes mesus His own bestows sweet grace on me/us” occurs in three verses (4,5,6]. The words Aandu, Aandukondu, Aatkollal. Aandaruli Aandaruipuriyum occur not only in this decad but also in hundreds of verses in Thiruvaachakam. They mean, making me/us His own or enslaving me/us, bestowing grace on me/us. What do they actually mean? The method of making me/us His own or enslaving mesus, seems to have been more vividly explained in the following verse: “Oh Lord like a mountain! Oh that very day when You made me Your ownsenslaved me, did You not take my soul, body and all my belongings as Yours? Oh Lord with eight shoulders and three eyes! Can there be any hindrance to-day for me? You may do good or You may do ill' What mastery have I over this?”(33:7). It may be seen. therefore, that when one gives up his body, soul and all his belongings and surrenders completely to Him, He bestows His grace and makes him. His own. In this decad the saint has made it clear that this earth is the only place where Civan redeems and saves one and that the human frame is the only form through which His grace can be obtained easily and in full measure. It appears that the heaven-dwellers cannot even approach Him, perhaps in the form of a Devaa as such.(20:6,9,10). It may be seen that even Rig Veda was sung besides as morning hymns apart from the Tamil Songs.(20:3).
