Decad:22 Koil-thiruppathigam The Sacred decad of the temple) Sub-title: Anuboga Ilakkanam (Characteristics of Experience) Abstract: Anuboga(m) = Experience; Ilakkanam = characteristics In this decad the saint has narrated his experience and enjoyment. As he out of love for Him begged and begged and as his body, soul and mind melted and melted in joy He bestowed His sweet grace on him and arose in his mind as Effulgence closing out the outlets of his perfidious senses (2,6). Removing the darkness of his bonds He rushed into his mind as unstemmed flood, entered his body and soul in every pore(3) and abided in his body as His shrine (5,10). In fact He gave himself to the saint and took him in exchange(10). He transformed him into bliss(8) welling up Ambrosia in his body(1). He prays that He be pleased to come in His grace that he may see Him as He is (1) and he feels extremely happy as he has seen him clearly that day with his own eyes(6) and prays to Him to show him the way to go to. him (9). Having reached Him he has exulted in delightful terms,"What do I, who have reached You,lack henceforth? (4). What more shall I henceforth beg of you?” (5) As Civan took his body as his shrine and transformed him into Bliss (10.8) he poses a pleasant question to Him “Who is cleverer of us in this exchange?”(10). 565
