23. Cheththilaappaththu “Oh Civan Who abides in Thirupperumthurai surrounded by fields in which selfish and Nymphaea stellata Neelam flowers flourish! While the world, Indra, four faced (Brahma) Ayan and the heavenly ones were waiting You made me Your own with pleasure. Oh You with flowery Foot which took the dear life of Death (Devaa)! Oh bearer of Ganga Oh You with hand on which fire rests 1 Command the wood eyed me too to come to the same flowery Feet for which, even Maal sings loudly”. (23:9) “Oh sea which abides the lofty mountain of Kailas You in Your grace appeared, said to me graciously “Aa Aa” and rid me of my fear ! Even after I dived, drank and was satiated in the ocean of Your grace, I do not melt. Oh Civan Who abides in Thirupperunthurai : Oh heavenly One! Whom he who bears the armlet (Maal) and he on the flower (Ayan) do not know ! Oh You who have the Mountain-Maid as a part of Your body I am distressed (as I am not able to enjoy the flood of Your grace in this body) as all the pleasures overwhelm me”. (23:10) 577
