Decad: 30 Thirukkazhukkundrappathikam Sub-titie: Satguru-tharisanam (Vision of the “Guru”-priest) A1D Sfrɑ CÍ: This decad of the sacred Eagle's Hill is said to be sung at Thirukkazhukundram as the title indicates. It may be seen that the saint had a vision of God at this place. Though it has been sung there after visualizing God in the presence of his devotees the saint recalls his vision of the God-Civan in the form of a human priest--Guru--at Thirupperunthurai in six of the seven verses of this decad. The saint has indicated that the power of rare love with which he prayed has induced God to show Himself to him (4,6) and the unique refuge under His Feet is the only refuge to avoid death and the evil that follows it, namely birth (6). It may also be noticed that the vision of God has been possible when his bad and good deeds (karma) balanced each other(1). Hence this decad deals with his vision of God in this place as he sings “You came and showed me Your countiess glorious Forms at the sacred Hill of Thirukkazhukkundram”, befitting the sub-title of this decad. 653
