8 அந்த அறிக்கையைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்ட தலைமை அமைச்சர் அவர்கள் எனக்கு 1971-ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் திங்கள் 22-ம் தேதி விட்டு எழுதிய கடிதத்தில், "Dear Thiru Karunanidhi, I have received your letter of the 15th June with which you have sent me a copy of the report of the Centre-State Relations Inquiry Committee. Your Government will probably examine the recommendations of this report. As you know the Administrative Reforms commission also went into the question and has already submitted a report which is under our consideration. If the views of your Government on this matter are made available to us, they will also be taken into account. These are important issue and we intend to consult all the Chief Ministers.
