சுவையறியும் வாய் ... . ஒளியறியும் கண்கள். மணம் உணரும் நாசி. ஒலிகேட்கும் செவிகள் . . . ஒரு பொறிக்கு ஆற்றல் குறைந்தாலும் வாழ்க்கை பயனில்லை. வாழ்க்கை நன்கு அமையப் பொறிகளாகிய புலன்களை ஆற்றல் குறையாமலும் மிஞ்சாமலும் வைத்துக் கொள்ளல் வேண்டும். முடியவில்லையே . . . போதும் வாழ்க்கை என்னைக் கைவிடாதே . . . This body has five sense organs, each ore has a function. The body feels the touch, the tongue perceives the taste, eyes are sensitive to light, the nose discerns smell, the ears receive the sound. If one of these functions fails then this body loses its value. We have, therefore, to keep all the organs in a fit state. But this is too much for one because it is well nigh impossible. Therefore enough of this precarious life! Thou who doth pervade the whole earth and heaven, to whom can I complain about my situation? Thou who hath rescued me, please bestow thy Grace. But Thou hast forgotten. Please say you will receive me.
