இறைவன் என்னை முன்பு பிறக்கச்செய்தான்; அதன்கருத்தை அறிந்தேன்; அவனுடைய பொன் போன்ற திருவடிகளை நான் என்ன பாடல் பாடினேன். அந்தோ நாய் போன்ற என்னைப் பெருமைப் படுத்தினான். தேவர்கள் வந்து எதிர் கொள்ளுமாறு செய்தான் பெரிய யானையை (ஊர்தியாக)க் கொடுத்தான்; இந்த உடம்பில் உள்ள உயிரைச் சிறப்பு அடையுமாறு செய்தான்; திரு நொடித்தான்மலை (என்று கூறப்படும் திருக்கயிலையில்) இருக்கும் சிறந்தவன். He caused me to be born long ago. I am aware of His intention. I composed verses, on His golden Feet. What sort of Verses are they? Alas! He regarded me a dog-like one!
