அரைமணி நேரத்தைக் கூட வீணாக்க முடியாத அளவில் தொடர்ந்து இருந்ததால், மட்டமான மதிப்புரையாளரைப் பற்றி எண்ண வாய்ப்பில்லை. இப்போது விரைவு வேலைகள் முடிந்து ஓரளவு ஓய்வு கிடைத்ததால் இந்த மறுப்புச் சூறாவளி வீசச் செய்யலானேன். முதலில் அந்த மட்டமான மதிப்புரை வருமாறு:—

The book under review deals with Sundara kandam of Kamban's Ramayanam. Kamban has closely followed Valmiki in naming the Cantos and Sundara Kandam is the Sth Canto in the Epic.
The author of this work states in his introduction that the Sundara Kandam is a mine of high thoughts and he is selecting some thoughts from the said mine and explaining the same. He purports to give the said thoughts in sixteen chapters dealing with several aspects. The heading of the second chapter is, 'historical (aspects or) notes.'
