This is one of the few decads in which all the stanzas end with the word Arul --grace--befitting the title of this Decad. In order to understand the appropriateness of the sub-title one must recollect the following verse where our saint sings, “Oh my Father with the victorious mount as bow! You weeded out my clan: You weeded out my faults! Behold that You do not forsake me ! Oh my Father of (the colour of) the beautiful lotus Who wears the wreath of kendrai (Cassia fistula) of goldensheen ! Oh peeriessOne! Iam swirled about by the five (malam) bonds like curd stirred by the churning staff. (6:29). What are these five bonds? They are 1. Aanavam, 2. Karma, 3. Maayai, 4. Mahaamaayai and 5. Thirotha-maayai or Thirothaanam of which the latter two are said to be pure Maayai. These two are different aspects of Maayai. They by the act of grace of God, veil the Reality from the soul.
