32. Praarththanai-p-paththu “Oh unchanging, unceasing, unparting, unforgetting. unremembering, undying and immeasurable Sea of Bliss : Your devotees with their hearts thawing endlessly have gained You outright. I, a base dog who have stayed outside, keep mourning. Oh my Owner 1 I must get true love unto You !” (32:6) “While all those who have seen the sea-like Bliss grab it and eat, is it fair that I, a base dog should merely keep multiplying my troubles and remain here pining? Oh my Owner! Thinking that You Yourself will graciously bestow Bliss one me, I reamined silent all along without acquainting You of my grief. I have been discarded and I am ruined. On Effulgence! Decide at least now to remove my darkness with Your beam of grace.” (32:7) “Oh Civan Entering in the midst of Your true and melting devotees who appear to be filled with Your grace.I. with mind like tough bamboo stem (Bambusa arundinacea) stand and wear away. Grant me the love which the devotees who are dear and near to You bear for You. Oh swiftly come in Your grace without any further delay, and bestow on me Your tender leaf-like golden Feet that Your grace may mellow in me.” (32:8) 669
