Decad: 42 Chenni-p-paththu (The Decad of the Head) Sub-title: Civa Vilaivu (Fruition of Bliss) (Sung of Thirupperunthurai) Chenni = head; paththu = decad; vilaivu =result, here, fruition. The saint declares that their heads will rest eternally at the Feet of the Lord in all the ten verses of this decad. This is made up of Aasiriya Viruththam metre. “Our heads will rest eternally and sparkle at the pure mighty roseate and flowery Feet of Devadevan, the true knight, the Lord of Perunthurai in the south,the primary blissful Effulgence whose form was unknowable evey by the Trimity and who is inknown by anyone unless they are His loving devotees”. (42:1) “Our heads will rest eternally and blossom at the circular lotus-like roseate Feet of the Lord of eight aspects (form), the Flood of sweet ambrosial Bliss, the principal One, the Reality, the Lord of the Lord of Bliss, the knight of Perunthurai in the south, the beautiful One Who has kept the Dame of long honey-dripping flowery locks Part of Himself.” (42:2) 757
