Thiru-vaarththai “They will be our supernal God who can understand the nature of our Father the Lord, the primal One of Perunthurai and the Archer who attacked the three cities and made them burn, in suckling the litter of piglings taking pity on a hunted sow which He saw in the forest in which He was roaming in the guise of a hunter surrounded by dogs and witnessed by devas who obey His behests.” (43:6) “They will be our supernal God Who can understand the greatness of the Effulgence of great brilliance our Lord, our Pure Holy One of Perunthurai girt with blossoming groves, Whom the Dames (Lakshmi and Saraswathi) with beautiful brows dwelling on good lotuses which emit sound, praise and pray by strewing flowers at His feet, in coming and appearing on earth and bestowing Grace on us, thereby removing our sense of separateness.” (43:7) “They will be our supernal God Who can understand the Form of the One Who embraces the shoulders of the painted picture-like beautiful Dame born out of fire among the great sea-faring people, of the Wearer of a garland of Kondrai (Cassia fistula) flowers; of the brave One Who killed the mighty tiger of strong claws of the Partner of the goodly Dame, Umai, of the King of Thirupperunthurai in the south girt with flourishing groves and our Eesan (Lord) of spotless great glory,” (43:8) 781
