This decad of the Sacred march is made up of only two verses of four lines each in Kali viruththam metre. “Beat the cosmic-sound-emitting drum of our Chieftain who wields the sword of wisdom. Hold aloft the moon-like white umbrella of our Chieftain Who rides on the mighty bull. Enter, taking to the blessed armour of sacred ash. Let us capture the heavenly City of Bliss before the forces of delusion arrive l’’ (46:1) “Oh Servants of the Ilord! March on as the vanguard! Oh Devotees 1 March on the flanks! Oh Sages of resplendent prowess 1 March as the main swelling ranks Oh Mystics (Siddhaas) of strong might !
