8. Thiruvammaanai “Let us sing of Him with one half of His body gleaming with the radiance of Her Whose words are like notes of a parrot and soft, of the wise Sage Who could not be seen by Maal and Ayan but Who in His abounding grace condescended at glorious Perunthurai, took pity on me and through inconceivable sweet grace appeared as the Effulgent One to make His light shine inside my innermost beingBehold ! Ammaanaai!” (8:18) “Let us sing of Him Who is the PrimalOne of the Trinity, of Him Who being the whole One exists even after the end, of the Pinghakan, of Him Who abided in Perunthurai of the Lord of the heaven, of Him with one half of His body occupied by the Dame, of Him of Aanaikkaa in the south, of Him of south Paandinnadu, of Him, my beloved, of Him Who is like Ambrosia to those who call Him their Father, and of that magnificent One : Behold Ammaanaai!” (8:19) “Let us place our trust in the time immemorial repute of the magnificent One of the Lord of Perumthurai Whose nature is rare to be found in others and Who coming in grace upon the victorious charger and setting aside the faults of His devotees but taking into account their good qualities only, cherishes them and severs the clinging cords of their earthly ties. Let us sing of the supreme Bliss of Him to Whom we cling that our bonds of Paasam may be severed. Behold Ammaanaai!” (8:20) 381
