342 - நீதிநெறிவிளக்கம் They, who have studied and attained knowledge ; have exercised self-control ; have rejected evil and embraced good ; have contented their desires with what they have obtained ; and thus by laying hold on their object, have superceded the necessity of works ; and employ their thoughts in the contemplation of the one object only, walk in the endless path of happiness. —H. S. Those alone can attain final emancipation who study the works of wisdom, appreciate the truths they contain, feel not the pride of knowledge, avoid what is prohibited in them and perform what they enjoin, purge the impurities of their mind by what they acquired ; discover the means of securing heavenly bliss, proceed from *favou to the higher stage of +ton & and appreciate the divine nature, distinguishing between the ego and non-ego. —C. M. They alone have trodden the great path who study and conform to what they have studied –to avoid evil, and do good, remain content with what they get, hold fast to the means of reaching the highest and stand still realising the true one. —T. B. K.
