My dear Friend,
By the grace of God and the Saint at Nagore we arrived here safe yesterday evening. I feel extremely happy for having met you both at Nagapatinam and at Nagore and for having had your company for four or five days consecutively. Our life - long friendship being formed in our school days is a true one, and it is the friendship like this that can last during this life and in the life to come. Friendships formed in life after school days are stinged with self-interest and therefore can have no durable existence. As soon as I met you at Nagapatinam after an interval of 50 years, I forgot myself and wept owing to an overflow of genuine love feeling; and you too were in the same state like mine for sometime. This joyous meeting brought out the remem- brance of our very old and sweet associations.
Please convey my best love and grateful feelings to our friend Mr. Krishnaswamy Naidu garu.

31 - Holy Prophet Mohamad
My dear friend,
4-3-1946
I thank you sincerely for inviting me to attend the birthday cel- ebration of the holy prophet Mohamad. Unavoidable engagement here precludes me from having the pleasure of taking part in the celebra- tion. Still I wish to express the high estimation in which I hold the teachings of the prophet - especially the emphasis he repeatedly lays on the worship of one Almighty God of the universe in his sacred Koran.
Although I belong to the Saiva religion of the Tamils, I find the teachings of our Saints bearing close resemblance to those of your prophet in many important respects.
