Ever since, I was watching his literary career closely, I am glad to see now in him a Tamil scholar grown up to admirable proportions in grammer and literature. To his eminence in the knowledge of Tamil, he writes the modern critical and historical methods of study derived from his knowledge of English. He is the son of an able Tamil scholar Mr. G. and as such I believe he has inherited his taste for Tamil from his learned father .I am quite confident that he will shine as a brilliant star in the firmament of Tamil learning if circumstances favour his further development in Tamil studies. Iam also confident that he will prove a rare acquisition to any Educational Institution that will engage his ser- vices

Today a new happy year. This morning, we life Palayoor and arrived at Koradacheri at 11 o'clock. I myself alighted in Tiruvaroor in order to worship my Tamil master V. Narayanaswamy Pillai.
31-12-1903
On the whole, this year was not, by any measure, a happy one. On the contraty, very miserable was my life during long-drawn path of this month days. I hope Siva bless me with perfect happiness in the subsequent years.
