I am directed by the Right Honourable the Governor in Council to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 23rd ultimo and to acquaint you, that His Lordship in council has been pleased in consideration of the circumstances which you have stated, to confer on the widow of the late Peria Marudoo a pension offorty Pagodas per month, during her life and to desire that you will accordingly cause that sum to be paid her monthly. 2. (3) To The Secretary to the Government, Sir, i have the honour to forward translation of a petition presented to me by Thangam and Audiveera Lakshmi, daughters of Peria Marudoo She ovaigar formerly Zamindar of Sivaganga, soliciting for the continuance of the pension of 40 Pagodas per month granted to their deceased mother under the sanction of Government, dated 7th June 1806. The family consisting of 4 daughters, 1 & 2 wife, 5 grandsons, 1 grand daughter and 25 servant and dependants as stated in the petition are without any means of support. Anuppanady, (S.) R.
