Decad:12 Thiruchchaazhal Sub-title: Mercy of Civan (Sung at Thiliai) Question: What Civansmears on His body is mere white ash! What He wears is an angry snake and what he speaks with His divine lips is the Vedaas, it seems my dear! Answer: Behold! What matters what He smears, what He wears and what He speaks? He is the Lord of the universe. He is the Essence of all that has life; Chaazhalo! (12:1) Q: My dear! You call Him my Father, my Lord and the Lord of every one too! He wears a clouted rag as loin cloth ! Why should this be so? A: Behold! He wears the four vedaas containing the meaning with which all lore is fraught as the holy thread and He spreads Himself as the loin cloth; Chaazhalo! (12:2) Q: My dear! The cremation ground is His temple! The fierce tiger's skin is His grand garb! Don't you see that He is motherless, fatherless and lonely? A: Behold! Though He is motherless and fatherless and lonely, if He gets angry the entire would will crumble to dust. Chaazhako! (12:3) 29 437
