Koil-Mooththa-Thiru-Pathikam The old commentary explains the sub-title of this decad as “ the truth of Sakthi and Civan with mutual agreement standing on either side of the soul and graciously bestowing on it the method of gaining deliverance”. This seems to be the very essence of the first verse of this decad. The existence of a beginningless truth of the universe seems to have been expounded in this verse. (21:1) The fact that the supreme Dame is in the mid-most of Civan is to explain that the presence of energy manifestation of Sakthi in every being and the fact that Civan is in the mid-most of the Dame is the presence of the supreme manifestation of Civan in every being. The fact that both are to be in the mid-most of him (the soul) is the state of bestowing grace on the devoted soul as Mercy and Light by Sakthi and Civan. The fact of his very clever way of asking for the privilege of being in the midst of His devotees that both of them would be abiding in him is to achieve deliverance and supreme Bliss in the midst of realised souls enjoying Bliss. These facts are perhaps indicative of the contention of the sub-title of this decad.
