28 Vaazhaappaththu “Other than the Foot which Maal sings and praises. behold that I have none to cling to. You sought me out and made me Your own. Oh King of Civapuram! Oh Civan Who abides in Thirupperumthurai! with you I sulk. With you I rejoice. It is for you to make me feel reassured. I am withering here. Behold that I will not live here. Show me the grace of bidding “Come”. (28:3) “Oh You who burnt the towns of skilled rebels! Behold that I have none to cling to " Oh Dancer living in Thillai, Oh King of Civapuram! Oh Civan abiding in Thirupperumthurai! Oh You who grew in Your might transpiercing the bounds of the three worlds without end when the two desired to see You. Behold that I will not live | Show me the grace of saying “Come”. (28:4) "Oh Partner of Her whose speech is melodious! Behold that I have none but You to cling to. Oh King of Civapuram Surely You made me Your own. Oh Civan abiding in Thirupperunthurai! Having placed my thoughts, body, mouth, nose, ears, eyes – all these - in Your control, behold that I the serf will not live in this world. Show me the grace of saying, “Come”. (28:5)
