Kandapaththu “Turnińg down birth itself and wiping out the two - disease and old-age--with their kith and kin-I went to the town of Thillai surrounded by dense groves, reached the hall of gnosis and saw the supreme Principal One,the Owner of the world while the Vedic sages and heavenly ones were worshipping”. (31:6) “I saw in resplendent Thillai the Play of the wisest Lord Who, severing the bonds of lusts and making me such that people said” he is a fool without devotion”, tied me fast to HIs sacred Feet with the strong rope of wisdom that I may not move away”. (31:7) “I saw in Thillai in which the guileness heavenly ones worship, Him Who made me His own, bestowing infinite raptures on me who sunk in immeasurable cares, lay empty without knowing the consequences”.
