DeCaoi 232 Praarththanai-p-paththu (Decad of Supplication) Sub-title: Sadhaa-muththi (Everlasting deliverance) (Sung at Thirupperunthurai) Prarththanai = supplication; Paththu = decad; Sadhaa =everlasting; muththi-deliverance. This decad is made up of eleven verses of four lines of Aasiriya Viruththam metre. “Mingling with Your true saints that day I was idly rejoicing. All those days have gone faded. In later days suffering has entered. Oh my Owner, I am withered Longing to see the gleam of fadeless Bliss I am distressed. Do grant me, Your devotee that ardour may abound in me.” (32:1) “Some of Your devotees received Your grace through their surging ardour. I, Your slave, am ageing in vain with frustration to this foul-smelling corpse with no end. Weeding out the cruel Karma of sinful me, Oh my Owner Graciously do make this slave melt with love ceaselessly that Your sea of mercy may overflow in my mind”. (32:2) G65
