This Decad of Bruising the body and soul is made up of ten verses of Aasiriya viruththam metre. “Oh my Owner! Protect me if the disease of ancient cruel Karma torments my mind and bruises my body. If I, a victim of cruel karma, suffer, could any gain accrue? Oh Spouse of Umaiyaal Oh You Who have taken me for Your own : If I err should You not forgive me? Oh You on whose crest rests the crescent moon | If I appeal “Is this just?” is it proper for you to refrain from bestowing Your grace on Your devotee? Oh Fatherťり (33:1) “Oh Partner of Her Whose waist is like a slender creeper! Oh our King ! I was under the belief that You made me Yourown formerly dispelling all the afflictions of this slave.
