Decad: 35 Achcha-p-paththu (Decad of Fear) Sub-title: Aanantham Vuruthal (Experience of Bliss) (Sung at Thiisai) Achcham = Fear; Paththu=decad; Aanantham - bliss; vuruthal = to experience. This decad of fear is composed often verses of four lines each in Aasiriya Viruththam metre, “I will not fear the snake in the anthill. I will not dread the feigned truth of men. But if I see those who, even after nearing the Feet of our lofty One of braided locks, the One with an eye in the forehead, are not devoid of any attachment other than to our Lord, thinking that there exists another God, Ah me! it is only then that we are frightened.” (35:1) “I will not shudder if evil desire rises in me. I will not fear even if the sea of Karma were to engulf me. But if I see those who do not get disgusted saying “What kind of god is any god other than our Lord of sacred form, the Lord of lords, who could not be seen by the two disputants'Ah me . It is only then that we are frightened”. (35:2) 697
