Achcha-p-paththu “I will not fear the mighty flesh-clinging lance. I will not fear the glance of the maids with bangled arms. But if we see the loveless ones who do not adore my precious Gem Who dances in the hall at Thillai and Whose gracious look can melt all the bones and do drink sweetly His grace, Ah me ! It is only then we are frightened.” (35:3) “I will not fear the parrot-like prattle of women. I will not fear their guileful smile. But if I see those who are devoid of the ripeness of devotion to approach the Feet of the Vedian (He of the vedaas) whose form displays the sacred ash and to worship Him with eyes gushing tear-drops, weep and thaw in their minds, Ah me! It is only then that we are frightened”. (35:4) “I will not fear even if all diseases were to come upon me. I will not fear birth along with death. But if we see those who do not wear the sacred white ash on their bodies, praising His rosy Feet which that famous Maal could not see even by splitting open the hard earth, Ah Me It is only then that we are frightened.” (35:5) 6:39
