This decad of Sacred Eulogy is made up of ten verses of four lines each in Kattalai Kaliththurai metre. The saint is praising the Lord for the grace he has received after great suffering and woeful trials. “Drawing me whose mind is as hard as iron unto You and melting my bones, You showed me the sugarcane-like taste of Your jewelled twin Feet. Oh You with braided locks where the subdued waves of the Gangaa spread about Was it not Your supreme grace which turned all the foxes into great horses?” (38:1) “Oh Partner of the Dame of melodious music Oh precious Ambrosia highly delicious to those who have become Your slaves Oh Owner of this slave Oh You Who, cutting off my earthly birth, enslave me! Was it not because You bade me corne, that I, gaining a clear vision of Your jewelled feet to the delight of my eyes, have been redeemed?” (38:2) 727
