41. Arputha-p-paththu “I do not understand the gracious miracle of the rare Being sought for by the great Marai (Vedaa) catching hold of this slave, beating me again and again and feeding sugar-candy to me who was acting a life of pretence in this world. performing many fraudulent things and was wandering babbling about the past Karma by the mouth scarred by the delusion of “I” and “mine” (41-3) - “I do not understand the gracious miracle of my Lord coming as a precious Helper without parting from Her. His grace with the tinkling Cilambu (anklet) on His perfect roseate Feet and enslaving me who was thoughtiess of the accruing births and deaths, going about uttering the merest lies and was lying stunned by the eyes of maids of dark locks.” (41:4) “I do not understand the gracious miracle of the Lord making me dance with joy by bestowing deliverance on me showing His softflower-like jewelled Feet that my cruel deeds may stay away, entering my heart and enslaving me who rejoicing with wealth, kith and kin, maidens and other blissful pleasures was wandering delightfully, being overpowered by their inherent natures.” (47:5)
