45 Yaaththirai-p-paththu “God alone is their kith, and kin. He alone is their law and way. Who are we? What is ours? What is this bond (paasam)? What a delusion are these! To remove them join the ancient devotee of the King and taking His sign alone as your guiding sign set out on the path leading to the golden Feet of the snake-adorned Dancer (Bhuyangan) who will rid you of unreality (delusion) and make you His own” (45:3) “Oh, all of you who have become His servants! Leave this wordly game far behind, ome unto His fragrant Feet, keep watching His sacred sign. He will put off this body, stained with sin, and keep us in the Land of Bliss. Bhuyangan of ash-laden body will allow us to reach His flower-like jewelled feet.” (45:4) “Forsake anger and the disease of desire. There is not much time henceforth. Prepare yourself to go along with the large caravan of devotees to the Feet of our Owner. We shall go and enter the city of Civan before its ornamented doors are closed. Standing by the side of the Bhuyangan and melting in ecstasy, we shall sing the glories of Him Who enslaved us.” (45:5) 797
