உழலைமாடு பெ. (n.) ஓடிப்போகாதபடி கழுத்தில் உழலை மரங்கட்டியுள்ள மாடு; cow from whose neck a block of wood is suspended so as to impede its running and thus prevent its stray ing
away.
உழவடை பெ. (n.) நிலத்தின் உரிமை; பயிர் செய்யப்போகும் நிலம்; right of cultivating land.
உழவடைத்தல் வி. (v.) உழுவதற்காக நிலத்தை ஒப்படைத்தல்; to make over to another a piece of land for purposes of cultivation.

உழவாரப் பணி பெ. (n.) கோயிலின் வெளிப்புறத்தையும், உட்புறத்தையும் தூய்மைப்படுத்தும் தன்னார்வத் தொண்டுப்பணி; service of cleaning and maintaining the temple premises offered by devotees. 'நாவுக்கரசர் உழவாரப் பணியில் தம்மை ஈடுபடுத்திக் கொண்டார்.

உழவியல் பெ. (n.) மண்ணாய்வு, உழவு செய்யும் முறைகள், உரமிடுதல், பயிர் விளைவித்தல் போன்ற வேளாண்மைச் செயல்பாடுகளை உள்ளடக்கிய பிரிவு; agronomy. 'உழவர்களிடையே இயற்கை உழவியல் முறைகளை அரசு ஊக்கு விக்க வேண்டும்'. உழவீரம் பெ. (n.) உழுதற்குத் தக்க ஈரம்; condition of the ground when it has as much moisture as is needed for ploughing. உழவு பெ. (n.) I. வயலில் கலப்பையால் மண்ணைக் கிளறிவிடும் செயல்; ploughing; tilling. கலப்பை பூட்டி உழவு செய்தார். 2. பயிர்த்தொழில்; வேளாண்மை ; agriculture; farming. உழவுத் தொழில்'.
உழவுக்கட்டி பெ. (n.) உழவிற் பெயர்ந்து வரும் மண்கட்டி; clods in a ploughed field.
உழவுக்கட்டுதல் வி. (v.) முதற்சால் போதல் ; to take the lead in ploughing so as to mark the course, as done by the head team.
உழவுகாடு பெ. (n.) உழவுக்கேற்ற நிலம்; lands that can be ploughed and brought under cultivation.
உழவுகாணியாட்சி பெ. (n.) நிலத்தை உழுது பயிர் செய்யும் உரிமை; sole right to plough and cultivate a land. உழற்றுதல் வி. (v.) அலுப்பு, அசதி போன்றவற்றால் படுக்கையில் புரளுதல்; toss and turn in bed. இரவெல்லாம் படுக்கையில் உழற்றிக் கொண்டிருந்தார். உழுதல் வி. (v.) 1. விதைக்கும் முன் வயலில் கலப்பையால் மண்ணைக்
