'செங்குட்டுவன்' நூற்றாண்டின்கட் படுவதன்றாய்க், கி.பி. இரண்டாம் நூற்றாண்டிற்கு முன்னதாவது ஐயுறவுக்கு இடனின்றித் துணியப்படுதலிற், கி.பி. மூன்றாம் நூற்றாண்டின்கணிருந்த மாணிக்கவாசகப் பெருமான் “உயர்மதிற் கூடலின் ஆய்ந்த ஒண்டீந் தமிழின்றுறை” என்று அச்சங்கத்தைக் குறிப்பிட்டு அருளிச்செய்தது சாலவும் வாய்ப்புடைத்தாய் மலைமேற் கட்டிய அரண்போல் நாட்டப்பட்டமை தெளிந்து கொள்க.
